On a bit of a tangent, you know when people say that humans only utilise 10% of their brains, and Einstein used more, and we can reach so much more if only we tried?
Well most of it (except for the last part) is hogwash.
We use all of our brains, to different extents, but only a certain amount as intellectual space. The rest is used for processing, for bodily functions, for storing dormant information.
But don’t let that detract from my brilliant graphic π
This is a great blog, and when I am ready, I will share my experience of being diagnosed with depression a very long time ago. How two different countries had different treatment measures in treating this diagnoses. Many people fall victim to undiagnosed depression, which leads to suicide in many cases. Then we ask ourselves, why did I not recognized the signs. Too late, his gone!!!!My best friend, familie friend killed himself, and i find myself often still angry at him for doing this. Without the right combination of treatment, which dont only include medication, but a whole recovery program, support, family support and education on deep rooted ignorance about the reality of depression, we will continue loosing those dear to us.
Thank you for visiting! I agree; there’s no use in treating only the physical or ONLY the psychological.
XxX
this made me think of a quote that I heard during board studying: “you will forget more information in your lifetime than most people learn in their lifetime.” I am not sure if that was meant to be motivational or de-motivational. I agree though I think I have forgotten some childhood memories after the past two years.
Oh wow. That’s quite a stinging quote; I can’t figure out if it’s good or bad either π
Thanks for visiting!
