It was Christmas! I love this holiday. And now Christmas is technically over, but it’s still in the air and our tree is still shining, and I’m still on a Christmassy high. Here are some pictures of the surprises of Christmas Eve (which is when we open our gifts), as prompted by The Daily Post.
Always the manly man, Christmas time is the only time my little brother allows kisses. My little sister really loved the present he gave her.
We played a bit o a prank on Dad. He loved it and couldn’t stop laughing.
Everyone admires Mom’s lovely gift from Dad.
Little Brother had the biggest surprise of us all – while my sister and I had a hunch we were getting laptops, he had no idea that he would get the much-coveted Fender guitar. He is in love, as you can see!
I realised again how fortunate I am to spend Christmas with my amazing family. I think that next year I want to go visit one of the state old-age homes on Christmas day. I hear there are a lot of old folk who don’t get any visitors over Christmas, and I think that’s awful.
What lovely photos. Thank you so much for sharing. My tree is still up and lit too. Not in a big hurry to take down all of the decorations π
Thank you! Yep, taking them down now would just be so sad π¦
It looks like a great fam!
I just wanted to let you know that I have been following your blog for over a year and you have further inspired me to study medicine, because of the thought provoking and interesting things you post. So the mega awesome news is that I got into medical school here in the UK! I’m starting this September.
Thank you so much for this blog.
Hi Johannes, that is AMAZING news!!!!! I am sooooo happy for you, and if my whines have inspired you instead of discouraging you, then I think you will do very well at medical school. Congratulations! And thanks for letting me know, I’m glad I could help in some small way.
Lovely photos! π
